Following my adventure in Paris, I had the opportunity to visit this magnificent city, traveling via the Eurostar and experiencing the best of British culture and landmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Journey to London via Eurostar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our journey from Paris to London began early in the morning. We reached Gare du Nord at 6 AM, excited for our Eurostar train scheduled to depart at 7:28 AM. The process of migration and security checks was smooth, and as we boarded the train, we were ready for an adventure across the English Channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eurostar experience was seamless. As the train started moving, we were treated to picturesque countryside views\u2014vast farmlands, scattered farmhouses, tractors at work, and camper vans adding to the rustic charm. The scenic beauty of the French countryside transitioned into the dark, thrilling ride through the Channel Tunnel. It&#8217;s a fascinating experience to realize that you are traveling beneath the sea, a marvel of engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We arrived at St Pancras International Station in London at 9:30 AM local time. Stepping out, we immediately felt the difference\u2014the air was cooler than in Paris, and the city buzzed with its characteristic politeness, with people constantly saying &#8220;please&#8221; and &#8220;thank you.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-2.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-2-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Navigating London&#8217;s Tube<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>London&#8217;s public transport is one of the best in the world, with the Underground (commonly called &#8220;the Tube&#8221;) being the most efficient way to get around. Google Maps made it easy to navigate, with the different Tube lines color-coded for convenience. Here are some of the main lines and their significance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bakerloo Line (Brown)<\/strong>: Known for its historic significance, connecting Baker Street and Waterloo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Central Line (Red)<\/strong>: The busiest line, running from East to West.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Circle Line (Yellow)<\/strong>: A circular route covering major attractions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>District Line (Green)<\/strong>: Runs through key tourist spots, including Westminster and Tower Hill.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jubilee Line (Grey)<\/strong>: Covers Canary Wharf and other modern business hubs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Northern Line (Black)<\/strong>: Covers key landmarks like Camden Town and London Bridge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Piccadilly Line (Blue)<\/strong>: The best line for airport transfers, including Heathrow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Victoria Line (Light Blue)<\/strong>: Known for being one of the fastest lines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-3.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/london-3-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meeting a Customer&#8217;s Family<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day was dedicated to visiting the family of a customer who had sadly passed away during their trip with us. Taking the Tube and then a bus, I reached their home, which was about an hour away from my stay. The warmth of their hospitality was touching\u2014spending time with them and sharing a meal they lovingly prepared was an emotional and unforgettable experience. They were incredibly welcoming and didn&#8217;t want me to leave. I finally returned to my accommodation late at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Day at Bicester Village<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The next morning, I set off for\u00a0<strong>Bicester Village<\/strong>, a famous shopping destination. The bus to Bicester Village started at 9 AM, and upon arrival, I was greeted with an elegant open-air shopping experience. This luxury outlet is home to numerous designer brands, including Gucci, Prada, Burberry, and Ralph Lauren. Walking through the well-maintained shopping streets, browsing high-end fashion at discounted rates, and indulging in some retail therapy was a delightful experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exploring London with a Hop-On Hop-Off Tour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On the following day, I opted for the\u00a0<strong>Hop-On Hop-Off sightseeing tour<\/strong>\u00a0(\u00a338 for 24 hours, including a one-way Thames River cruise). It was the perfect way to explore London&#8217;s most iconic landmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Trafalgar Square<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A vibrant public space at the heart of London, Trafalgar Square is known for its grand fountains, historic statues, and the towering&nbsp;<strong>Nelson&#8217;s Column<\/strong>, which commemorates Admiral Nelson&#8217;s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. St Paul&#8217;s Cathedral<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A masterpiece of English Baroque architecture,\u00a0<strong>St Paul&#8217;s Cathedral<\/strong>\u00a0is an architectural gem with a stunning dome. Walking across it offers fantastic views of the city, and the glass walkway inside provides a thrilling experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Close to Tower Bridge is the\u00a0<strong>Tower of London<\/strong>, a historic fortress that has served as a royal palace, prison, and treasury. One of its most famous attractions is the\u00a0<strong>Crown Jewels<\/strong>, including the legendary\u00a0<strong>Kohinoor Diamond<\/strong>. This priceless gemstone, set in the Queen Mother&#8217;s Crown, has a complex history, having changed hands through centuries across different empires. Seeing the Kohinoor in person was an awe-inspiring experience, highlighting both its dazzling beauty and its historical significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Thames River Cruise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Thames River cruise was a highlight of the tour. The commentary on board was engaging and informative, providing intriguing stories about London&#8217;s history as we passed famous sites.
