What followed was a journey that showed us two very different sides of&nbsp;<strong>Southeast Asia\u2014super-efficient, welcoming Singapore<\/strong>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<strong>visually impressive but less hospitable Malaysia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Singapore \u2013 A Benchmark for Tourism &amp; Hospitality<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We reached Singapore around&nbsp;<strong>8 AM local time<\/strong>. The first thing that struck me\u2014even before stepping out properly\u2014was the&nbsp;<strong>cleanliness and efficiency of Changi Airport<\/strong>. But a Sumatran prince supposedly saw a lion-like animal and named the island Singapura.
