OK Online, an Internet service company based at the Start up Village, Kochi has decided to launch \u2018The Hot Air Balloon Festival of Kerala, 2015\u2019 in Munnar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hot Air Ballooning in the form of \u2018Tethered Joy Rides\u2019 will be held between April 21st and May 20th at The High Altitude Sports Centre and the Tata Tea ground. Each hot air balloon ride lasts for 10 minutes with 2-4 passengers allowed at a time. The time schedule for the beautiful sunrise and sunset rides are 2 hours before 9 am and 2 hours after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the &#8216;Tethered Joy Rides\u2019, the hot air balloon acquires an altitude of 150 &#8211; 200 feet while being firmly tied to the ground. The balloon rises smoothly and remains suspended in the air, providing a mesmerizing sight of Lakshmi hills, the lush green tea estates of Munnar, the Pallivasal dam and the Anamudi (South India\u2019s highest peak).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This&nbsp;Festival will&nbsp;be held in association with The Tourism Department of Kerala and the Ballooning Club of India. The ballooning partner of this great event is Mr. Vishwa Bandhu Gupta, India\u2019s first Balloonist and the Secretary of the Ballooning Club of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t miss this unique opportunity&nbsp;to be in Munnar during this summer vacation.
