Chembra peak

Chembra peak is the highest peak in Wayanad at 2100m above sea level. The scenic beauty of Wayanad which is visible from the top of Chembra is mind-blowing. Top of the hill has a heart-shaped lake with blue-eyed water which never dries up even in the peak of summer. Trekking to the top of the mountain almost takes one whole day, so there have options for temporary camps to stay. Camping at the top is an unforgettable experience. It is the largest as well as the highest peak of the Western Ghats.  This peak offers a breathtaking view of rare flora and fauna, and it is an idle place for trekking.

Edakkal Caves

Edakkal cave is situated at Ambukutthi Hills, around 4000 feet high, and located near Bathery; it is one of the oldest historical monuments famous for its ancient cave paintings. Edakkal caves are of historical and archaeological significance carvings that date back to the Neolithic era, the late Stone Age. Edakkal means 'a stone in between' it is because of its formation. A smaller rock has wedged in between 2 bigger ones to form a natural cave. One needs to trek for one and half hour to hit the cave entrance, and another 45 minutes to reach the mouth of the cave. It is the best option for adventure seekers and nature explorers.

Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary

Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala, and it consists of rare as well as endangered species of both flora and fauna. This sanctuary connected to Bandipur National Park of Karnataka and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary of Tamil Nadu.  This place is famous for its elephant population. Tigers, leopards, wild cats, stags, spotted deer, wild squirrels, bears, wild pigs, porcupines and wild mongooses besides a variety of land and water birds are the main attractions of the wildlife sanctuary. Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is the best place for adventure seekers and nature explorers.

Banasura Sagar Dam

Banasura Dam is the largest earthen dam (embankment dam) in the country and the second-largest in Asia and located in Banasura hills. The dam is made up of massive stacks of stones and boulders. The view of the vast reservoir from the top of the dam is breathtaking. Streams, diverse flora, fauna, lush tropical green and majestic waterfalls fill Banasura Peak. The dam also has a set of islands in the dam's reservoir, formed when the reservoir submerged the surrounding areas during monsoon season. This dam offers lots of adventure activities like a speed boat, pedal boat and trekking.

Soochipara Falls

Soochipara Falls is a three-tiered waterfall situated in Vellarimala also called Sentinel Rock Waterfalls. This waterfall is being one of the best waterfalls because deciduous, evergreen and mountain forests surround it. Soochipara Waterfalls is a perfect location for many of the adventure activities like white water rafting, trekking, rock climbing, swimming etc. The pool below the waterfall is ideal for taking a dip in the crystal water. It is an absolute blend of adventure along with natural wonders.

Kuruva Dweep

It is a little island in River Kabini. It is the only island in India that is surrounded by naturally purified water.  This island accessed by a boat or rafts or fibre boats. Since it lies in the delta region, Kuruvadweep is a group of islands, and it has dense forests that are home to a variety of flora and fauna like rare species of birds, orchids, herbal plants etc. This place is well preserved; hence it has uncontaminated natural surroundings. It is a perfect place for nature lovers who like to explore nature. Kurava Island gives fantastic experience, and it helps to rejuvenate our mind and body; that's why it is called nature's gift to Wayanad.

Meenmutty Falls

Meenmutty is the tallest waterfall in Wayanad, and it is a three-tiered waterfall. Meenmutty offered a mind-blowing view and reached by an exciting 2 km jungles trek. The force of water striking the dark rocks and splashing high up is a fantastic view offered in this waterfall. Meenmutty provides an ideal place to lie back and relax with nature. It is a picture-perfect backdrop for trekking activities.there has an option for staying near the waterfall but should need to take permission from the forest official. It is an absolute blend of lush green mountains, blue water white fluffy fog and the backdrop of bright blue sky offers of the stunning and breathtaking view.


Neelimala is at the southeast part of Wayanad. Neelimala Viewpoint offers a stunning view of the lush green natural vegetation and the breathtaking Meenmutti waterfalls. Thirunelli Temple

Thirunelli Temple is one of the ancient and significant Hindu temples; it is mainly famous for conducting funeral rites. It is on the side of the famous Brahmagiri hill, at an altitude of about 900 meters. Thirunelli Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Surrounding the temple is the water bodies of Papanasini and Panchatheertham. A dip in the holy mountain stream of Papanasini clears a person from all the sins. It is one of the major pilgrim centres, and the temple mentioned in several Hindu Scripture. The premises of this temple offer tranquillity and get refreshed with calm and peaceful surroundings covered with lush green forest. 

Lakkidi View Point
