Houseboat | Munnar

This tour package picks you from Cochin or coimbatore and covers Kodaikkanal, Munnar and Alleppey Houseboat with 21hrs cruise. We will have Cochin sightseeing on last day and drop at Cochin. The tour covers approximately 1000km in 6 days

  • Day 1

    Cochin to Kodaikkanal

    • Pick up from Cochin and drive to Kodaikanal.
    • Visit Kodaikanal lake, enjoy boating, cycling, and Coaker’s Walk in the evening if time permits, and rest for the day at the hotel.
  • Day 2

    Kodaikkanal

    • Suggest starting by 9 am for a forest trip in the morning.
    • Our vehicle will drop you at Moier point.
    • After visiting the Upper Lake Viewpoint and Moier point, catch a forest vehicle (charged extra) to visit the Silent valley view point, Fire Tower, Brijam Lake viewpoint, Caps Fly Valley, and Berijam Lake, and return to Moier point.
    • Then visit to Pine Forest, Guna Cave, and Pillar rock and return to Kodaikanal town.
    • Can enjoy boating in the lake, cycling around the lake, and visit Coakers Walk in the evening (optional).
    • Please note that there is no restaurant for lunch, and returning to town for lunch in between is difficult.
    • So, either carry food with you or start early in the morning to return to town for lunch.
    • However, there are small shops that sell light refreshments.
  • Day 3

    Kodaikkanal to Munnar

    • Drive to Munnar and stay at Munnar.
  • Day 4

    Munnar

    • Suggest starting at 9 am for visiting Eravikulam National park, followed by Tea Museum.
    • Post lunch, visit Mattuppetty dam, Echo point, Kundala Lake, Viewpoints, Pothamedu view point and Botanical Garden.
    • Note: The Eravikulam National Park tickets can be either booked in advance or purchased from the counter.
    • The park is closed from Feb to April due to the breeding time of Nilgiri Tahr.
    • Tea Museum is closed on Mondays.
  • Day 5

    Munnar to Alleppey Houseboat

    • Munnar to Alleppey drive will take a minimum of 5 hrs, and hence suggest leaving at 8 am to reach Alleppey by Noon.
    • Enjoy the backwaters, scenery, and village life for 21hrs in Kerala Style House boats from noon.
    • (Due to the long traveling time, you may not reach Alleppey by noon and need to do a late check-in or should skip breakfast and leave much early from Munnar, which will not be compensated).
    • Houseboat will be stopped for lunch for 1hrs with the cruise till 5:30 pm.
    • The boat will be anchored till the next day morning,with a 1-hour cruise in the morning for check out at 9 am.
    • There are different categories of houseboats available like Deluxe, Premium, and Luxury, where Deluxe is the basic boat.
    • In the houseboat, you will be greeted with a welcome drink, tea, snacks, mineral water, lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
  • Day 6

    Alleppey to Cochin drop

    • Visit Alleppey beach and drop at Cochin.
    • Subject to availability of time, we provide complimentary Cochin sightseeing covering fort Cochin, the Navy Museum, St Francis Church, the Chinese Fishing Net, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Mattanchery Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Marine Drive, Marine Walkway, boating, Tripunithura Hill Palace.
    • If interested, can go for a shopping at Cochin.
    • Our representative will drop you at Cochin Airport/Railway station/Bus stand and will extend necessary support required there.
    • Drive back to your hometown with the sweet memories of the Kerala trip.
    • Tripunithura Hill Palace opens from 9 AM to 5 PM and is closed on Monday.
    • The Dutch palace is closed on Friday.
    • The synagogue opens from 10 AM to 1 PM and 3 to 5 PM and is closed on Friday and Saturday.

Houseboats are categorized into Deluxe, Luxury and Premium classes. Deluxe houseboats will have very basic amenities. While booking a tour with us, you can ask our executive for a premium or luxury houseboat especially during the summer season, for better experience.
